Objective:

  • Upon completion of this course, the course participant will become familiar with the basics of the QuickBooks program. The course participant will have the skills necessary to complete most tasks available in QuickBooks.
  • Understanding the basic principles of bookkeeping as it applies to the QuickBooks program. Learn to set up a company and its associated accounts, customers, and vendors in the QuickBooks program.
  • Also the participant will learning to record and maintain the receivables, payable, creating invoices and running the payroll.

Program Objectives:

An overview of the application is presented, including using the Easy Step Interview process to enter basic company information and set up accounts. Tasks covered including setting up company records, entering historical data, managing accounts, and creating lists, reports, and graphs. Managing invoices, sales tax information, bills, and assets is also covered. Additional topics covered include managing payroll and employee data, managing taxes, online banking, and creating budgets

Admission Requirements

Aberdeen College accepts students with one of the following qualifications: a High School Diploma, passing the General Education Development (GED) test, passing the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE), or passing the College-administered entrance exam. The applicants should also have reached compulsory age to be accepted by Aberdeen College. The compulsory age is 16 years old and above as defined by the State of California Department of Education.
